FARGO 2: PANAMA GOLD
JOHN BENTEEN

Panama Gold by John Benteen

Neal Fargo is back.

A kill-crazy soldier of fortune named Cleve Buckner was recruiting an army of murderers, gunmen and deserters from all over Central America. With foreign money behind him, Buckner's job was to wreck the Panama Canal before it could be completed.

Fargo's mission was to stop Buckner and eliminate him and his army once and for all. It was a tall order ... and probably the toughest mission Fargo had ever undertaken. But for $20,000, he decided to take the risk and see if he really could do the seemingly impossible.

Great story that helped pioneer the western genre! January 3, 2014 By John Greaves III (Amazon.com)

Sometimes we get so enamored with breakout new fiction, that we forget the classics that came before. I read the Fargo series years ago as a teenager and I remember being immediately drawn to his weapons handling ability, his unique appearance (white hair but with a lean, muscled physique as well as his mysterious past. Fargo is a type of hero similar to James Logan (Wolverine) and Josey Wales.
Fargo embodies the tough, seasoned heroes of the 1950s who lived by their own code of honor and never gave up no matter the odds.
Not a white hat hero like Roy Rogers, this is a man aware of his mortality determined to live whatever life he has left according to his own rules!

A VERY Good Read November 14, 2013 By David M. Eavey

I remembered reading other novels about the exploits of Neal Fargo when happened upon this book. I'mhappy to say it was every bit as good as any pulp western on the market. I think anyone who enjoys this type of fiction should try it.
